Project experience

Right of way advisory experience forged in the demanding environments of mega projects.

The insights we bring to your project are not theoretical. Our methodologies are rooted in practical, hands on experience, on both the agency and contractor sides, gained from prior professional roles managing right of way coordination on some of the largest public infrastructure projects in the nation.

Design Build Contractor Representation

Right of way coordination for Construction Package 2 3 of the statewide high speed rail system, delivered from the contractor side of the table.

Contractor side advocacy

Protected contractor interests and mitigated schedule and liability exposure as land rights were secured concurrently with active design.

Coordinated on three fronts at once

Parcel level right of way tracking, agency clearance monitoring, and third party agreement review kept design build packages moving.

Flagged risk before it became a claim

Documented delay drivers early and advised leadership on exposure that needed active management, not absorption.

Full scope acquisitions program

Full and partial acquisitions, temporary and permanent easements, and utility easements across dense commercial and residential frontage spanning multiple jurisdictions.

Relocation and negotiation at scale

Extensive commercial and residential negotiations and relocations, plus business goodwill claims and property management on acquired parcels.

Eminent domain support, in parallel

Precondemnation negotiations, resolution of necessity hearings, mediations, and litigation coordination with outside counsel on contested parcels.

Multi agency, multi jurisdiction coordination

Sustained engagement across CPUC, FHWA, Caltrans, and multiple municipalities, plus local law enforcement on right of entry and possession matters.

Represented the transit authority in third party agreements with the host freight railroad along an active corridor.

  • Resolved legacy boundary disputes

Cleared historical property boundary disputes that threatened station construction milestones.

  • Kept station delivery on schedule

Negotiated station area acquisitions and coordinated utility relocations tied to platform and pedestrian access.

Route 60 Truck Lanes

Freight Mobility Enhancement, Public Agency

Addition of dedicated truck lanes through a rugged, environmentally sensitive mountain pass, requiring tightly sequenced right of way and environmental coordination.

  • Environmentally constrained terrain

Aligned right of way coordination with strict environmental mitigation requirements across a rugged mountain corridor.

  • Secured critical access under pressure

Obtained access roads, temporary construction easements, and staging areas in difficult terrain.

  • Sequenced around the seasons

Coordinated utility relocations and slope easements to avoid seasonal construction shutdowns.

Experience built on complex public infrastructure.

From navigating the complexities of the state's high speed rail corridor to upgrading critical freeway, toll lane, and regional rail networks, our foundation is built on delivering right of way certainty from the contractor side, when the stakes are highest.
